Reporting and safety
Last updated July 15, 2026
Announcr is for spoken alerts and messages — not a free-for-all chat dump. If you receive content that breaks the rules, you can report it so our team can review.
This is not the same as Feedback (feature ideas, product notes, and app bugs). Use Report only for content safety.
What you can report
When reporting is enabled on your account, you can report content you are allowed to hear, for example:
- Personal messages (typed or recorded) from a contact
- Token team broadcasts and Announcr group announcements you belong to
You generally cannot report pure price-tick alerts (token threshold / % move ticks). Self-destruct messages that vanish right after play may not offer Report once they are gone.
How to report
- Open the message in Messages (or use the menu on Spotlight / related surfaces when shown).
- Choose Report.
- Pick a reason (for example harassment/hate, threats, illegal content, spam/scam, sexual content involving minors, or other).
- Optionally add a short note (keep it factual).
- Submit.
You should get a short email acknowledgment that we received the report. We do not provide a public status tracker, and we may not share detailed outcomes.
What happens next
- Reports go to a human moderation queue.
- We keep a snapshot of the content (and a private evidence copy of voice when needed) so self-destruct or later edits do not erase what was reported.
- We may suspend accounts or take other enforcement actions under the Terms.
- Automated tools (including speech-to-text on recorded voice and risk scores) may help us prioritize review — they do not auto-ban people on their own.
Voice and name intros
When you send a recorded message or broadcast, or save a name intro under Settings, Announcr may create a text transcript of that audio for safety review (when speech-to-text is enabled on the platform). Primary transcription uses xAI; an OpenAI fallback may be configured. Transcripts are for moderation and related operations, not a public feed. See the Privacy Policy.
Tips for good reports
- Report only content you actually received and can hear.
- Prefer the closest reason; use the note for specifics.
- Do not use Report for "I disagree with this price alert" or product complaints — use Feedback or adjust Signals.
